Your gift can immediately impact the community’s health through the Foundation’s grantmaking process. Some ways nonprofits receive funding from BHFSA are:
Community Impact Grants
Community Impact Grants of up to $12,500 are given to support smaller initiatives and organizations that significantly impact community health. Priority is given to the support of grassroots health activities, church health ministry development, and increased capacity to provide health services.
Disaster Relief Grants
Disaster Relief Grants support communities that have experienced a disaster, minimizing financial or health-related repercussions for those affected while helping bring stability to the area.
Responsive Grants
Responsive Grants allow the Foundation to provide funding of up to $300,000 for mid- to large-sized nonprofit organizations working to improve the quality of health in our community.
Scholarships at Local Universities and Colleges
Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio sustains the education and training of tomorrow’s healthcare providers and leaders by providing scholarship funding to Partner Institutions offering health education in Bexar County and the seven contiguous counties.
Strategic to Mission Grants
Strategic to Mission Grants help ensure attention, priority, and funding are given to each of the Foundation’s God-inspired and God-appointed Mission Focus Areas of supporting clinical, educational, spiritual, and scientific initiatives. These grants make available the largest amount of funding possible, recognizing the importance of the funded initiatives to the Foundation and the scale they may entail.
