Our Work

Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio provides grants to approximately 100 local nonprofits each year, supporting a wide range of organizations, from community food pantries to churches and medical facilities. Our thoughtfully-designed grant application process ensures that each request is carefully reviewed by multiple staff members and trustees.

At BHFSA, we deeply value the opportunity to foster long-lasting relationships and grow our understanding of the challenges affecting the residents of our service area.

Our diverse board, made up of trustees from various professional backgrounds, dedicates hundreds of volunteer hours each year to making funding decisions and working closely with staff to uphold the Foundation’s mission of improving health in the community.

Every grant recipient receives not only financial support but also our prayers and ongoing encouragement. We consider it an honor to partner with these organizations and to support the impactful work they do every day.

Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio also believes in long-term, relational investment in nonprofit community we serve.

This can take shape in many ways, but have included a weekly podcast featuring nonprofit leaders and change-makers in our area, creating cohorts to attend professional development conferences, and regional coffee hours to better connect with our outlying areas.
