Our Work

Grantmaking

Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio provides grants to around 100 nonprofits each year, supporting a wide range of organizations, from community food pantries to churches and medical facilities. Our thoughtfully designed grant application process ensures that each request is carefully reviewed by multiple staff members and trustees.

At BHFSA, we deeply value the opportunity to foster long-lasting relationships and grow our understanding of the challenges affecting the residents of our service area.

Our diverse leadership team, made up of trustees from various professional backgrounds, dedicates hundreds of volunteer hours each year to making funding decisions and working closely with staff to uphold the Foundation’s mission of improving health in the community.

Every grant recipient receives not only financial support but also our prayers and ongoing encouragement. We consider it an honor to partner with these organizations and to support the impactful work they do every day.

Gifts and Sponsorships

In addition to making grants, BHFSA sponsors a variety of community health-related events throughout the year that further the Foundation’s mission.

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it…   For no one can lay any foundation other than the one  already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
